SUMMARY:Chicago's Citywide "Clean & Green" Volunteer Clean-Up
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, April 21st\, 47th Ward neighbors can join folks throughout the city to make an immediate difference in our neighborhood by volunteering their time and effort to help beautify\, clean up and improve the neighborhood. \n\n \n\nSome of the work that will be done by our various neighborhood groups that day is:\n\n\n	\n		Painting the bottom of poles that have stickers or graffiti\n	\n		Readying corners for spring planting\n	\n		Helping older adults to clear out their yards and garages\n	\n		Manning a collection site for computer and electronic recycling\n	\n		Working along the river bank to spread chips\, weed and pick up trash\n\nPlease join us on April 21st for a day of volunteering in our neighborhood.  Together we can keep the 47th Ward the best place to live in Chicago. \n\n \n\nPlease let us know by April 13th what projects you would like to undertake and Streets and Sanitation can provide brooms\, shovels\, rakes\, bags and extra volunteers.\n\n \n\nContact Dara at 773-868-4747 or dara@chicago47.org.
