DESCRIPTION:DANK HAUS SUMMER MUSEUM THURSDAYS KICKOFF RECEPTION\n\nThursday\, June 30 from 5PM-8PM\n\n\n\nThe DANK Haus German American Cultural Center in the historic Lincoln Square neighborhood will host a kickoff reception on June 30 from 5PM to 8PM for its Summer Museum Thursdays program.\n\n\n\nThe free reception will take place on the fourth floor of the DANK Haus in the Museum and Scharpenberg Gallery\, allowing visitors to enjoy light refreshments and entertainment by magician Bob Schulien\, of the former Schulien's Restaurant and Saloon (featured in the Lost German Chicago exhibit)\, while viewing the exhibits.\n\n\n\nThe Museum\, home of the "Lost German Chicago" exhibit\, and Scharpenberg Gallery\, currently host to the traveling exhibition "Hamburg: Emigration Port\," will be open every Thursday from June 30 to August 25 in an effort to provide the public with more opportunities to view these free exhibits.\n\n\n\nThe Museum and Gallery are currently open and free to the public every Saturday from 11AM to 3PM\, except during holiday weekends.
