DESCRIPTION:The DANK Haus German American Cultural Center in historic Lincoln Square will present the "Voices of Heaven" mixed voice choir from Eberbach\, Germany. The event\, hosted by the Fine Arts committee\, is free and open to the public\, and will take place in the luxurious fifth floor Marunde Ballroom on Thursday\, September 1 at 7:30 pm.\n\n\n\nThe "Voices of Heaven" will sing a mix of pop\, gospel\, classical\, jazz\, and Renaissance pieces. The choir was established in 2001 and consists of more than 170 members\, from kindergarten to college-aged students\, in the small town of Eberbach near Heidelberg\, Germany. In 2003\, members of the group won second prize in a countrywide competition for their rock-opera performance of "Jesus Christ Superstar."\n\n\n\nThe event is made possible through the Blue Lake International Exchange Program\, which began in 1969 and has given over 10\,000 high school musicians in Europe opportunities to visit and perform in 14 different countries.\n\n\n\nFree parking is located at the MB Financial Bank lot at Western and Gunnison. Seating is limited to the first 400 guests.
