DESCRIPTION:Each student will be guided through experimental and expressive painting techniques with a wide variety of tools\, colors\, textures\, and mediums. We will find unexpected imagery and beauty as we create without self-judgment or preoccupation with the end result. Each student should bring photocopies of images and quotes that have a personal meaning: places\, animals\, maps\, poems\, etc. We will be altering the images and using them in mixed media collages\, so please do bring copies rather than originals.\n\n	At this retreat you will:\n\n	- be in the moment\n\n	- paint with unusual tools\n\n	- let go of the outcome\n\n	- mix color\, create textures\n\n	- mix media\n\n	- cut\, tear\, and layer paper\n\n	- be inventive\, have fun\n\n	Skill level: No experience needed\n\n	Materials list: bring photocopies of images and quotes that have a personal meaning: places\, animals\, maps\, poems\, etc.
