DESCRIPTION:Please join me in the gallery this Saturday\, June 11\, 3-5pm for an informal conversation with the artist about her painting process and current show\, "Wildering". Come early to peruse the show - we open at noon Friday and Saturday! Free to enjoy. The exhibition is on view through June 18.\n\n\n\nFor artist Basia Krol\, Wildering describes a re-awakening of self-identity through active observation of nature. Painted largely during the pandemic\, Krol finds a grounding connection in the landscape of Central Illinois. Krol?s joyous sense of discovery is palpable in expressive landscape paintings that invite us to share a journey toward personal freedom and spiritual renewal.\n\n\n\nJust TWO more weeks to see this exhibition! Get in touch if you would like to schedule a visit outside of regular gallery hours. 24 hours (minimum) advance notice is appreciated.\n\n\n\nAbout the Artist: \n\nBasia Krol was born and raised in Warsaw\, Poland. She studied painting and printmaking at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. She currently lives and works in Galesburg\, Illinois\, where she finds inspiration in the local prairie nature preserves.\n\n\n\nAbout the Gallery: \n\nEat Paint Studio is located at 5036 N Lincoln Ave in the Lincoln Avenue North Arts District (LANA)\, close to public transportation and metered parking. Chicago artist Emily Rapport opened the gallery in 2018 with an aim toward combining her studio practice with a public exhibit space. The gallery mission is to engage people in the art-making process and\, through exhibitions in its storefront gallery\, to integrate art into daily lived experience
