DESCRIPTION:Creativity does not stop in or after middle age.  The Senior Artists Network presents "Roots of Our Community\," a show of 17 artists working in all media: photography\, sculpture\, fabric\,  pen and ink\, and painting.  The exhibit runs from September 5 to October 5 in the Scharpenberg Gallery at the DANK Haus German American Cultural Center\n\n \n\n  Featured artists include:  Mary Krebs Smyth\, Howard Franks\, Patricia Larkin Green\, Meredith Dytch\, William Whiteside Gloria Rigioni\, Peggy Lipschultz\, Dr. S. Beatty\, Jan Flapan\, Arun Dabholkar\, Myrna Cohn\, Jon Balke\, Fredrick Falkenberg\, Catherine Cajandig\, CouSandra Armstrong\, Sally Schoch.\n\n \n\n \n\nThe opening reception is Thursday September 5 2013 at 6:30 pm   9:00 pm\n\nThe exhibit is open Saturdays from 11:00 am   3:00 pm through October 5 2013\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.  \n\n \n\n \n\nThe Center is located   block from the Western Brown Line stop.  \n\nParking for this event is generously provided by MB Financial Bank at Western and Gunnison Avenues.\n\n \n\nThis program is supported by a CityArts Program III grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events\n\nThis program is partially supported by Air Berlin\, now with nonstop flights from Chicago to Berlin.\n\n \n\n \n\nAbout Senior Artists Network Senior Artists Network (SAN) is a not-for-profit\, tax-exempt organization committed to promoting and fostering the talents of Chicago-area artists age 50 or older.
