DESCRIPTION:Bloom's book club is back. The book club\, facilitated by Carrie Waller\, focuses on the joys and challenges of aging. It meets six times over the course of one year (once every other month) and features six books covering a variety of aging-related topics. You can view the first three books in the series below.\n\n\n \n\nEach two-hour session starts with a gentle yoga practice\, transitions to a group discussion\, and closes with a short meditation. These sessions enable participants to build connections with others in the Bloom community who share similar interests.\n\n \n\nThursday\, May 16th\, 2024\n\nLong Life and Other Essays\, Mary Oliver\n\n\n\nIf you enjoy Mary Oliver's poetry\, you will probably enjoy her prose. In this book\, Oliver offers "little alleluias" to the bounties of nature\, animals\, the soul\, place\, and literature. She also includes some thoughtful essays on William Wordsworth\, Nathaniel Hawthorne\, and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
